I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Joshua
The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.
Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I'm going to injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I'm going to really want to hurt him. That's my goal."
Respectful Exchange
Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian rejected a fight offer.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.
He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.
Commercial Success
However, the novice continues to be one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Forecast and Belief
The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would derail the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually proceeding.
