Kane achieves his hundredth goal for Bayern Munich
Harry Kane has declared that his desire in returning to the Premier League has faded and he is open to discuss a new contract with Bayern Munich.
The star striker is currently two years through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the transfer window of 2023.
The veteran forward has netted an remarkable 103 goals in 106 matches for the German team, contributing them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which represented the first significant trophy of his notable career.
Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has previously stated that he would be pleased to see Kane go back to England, where he needs 48 goals to break Alan Shearer's historic Premier League scoring milestone of 260.
However, the England leader has now indicated that he is no longer as eager about coming back home as he once was, and would certainly think about lengthening his time in Bavaria.
"In terms of extending longer, I could certainly see that," he stated.
"I mentioned openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those discussions with Bayern yet, but if they were to come up I would be willing to talk and have an straightforward conversation.
"Obviously it depends on how the next year or so goes and what we accomplish together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not considering about anything else.
"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.
"Now I have been there a couple of years I would likely say that has gone down a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.
"What I have realized in my career is that different chances and different timings happen and things fall in place. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am completely all in with Bayern."
Record-breaking Achievements and Future Ambitions
Kane is the historic top goalscorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the fastest player this century to hit 100 goals for a club participating in one of Europe's top five leagues, attaining the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.
However, a trophy had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.
Kane states that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now feels it has made him motivated for more success.
"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.
"But it's given me more drive to do more and be better. I think I've shown that this year.
"I was curious in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.
"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.
"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, maintaining even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."
